Always Sunny in Philadelphia is returning for another season of FX. Sometimes abbreviated to It’s Always Sunny is a sitcom that premeired in 2005 and has been a hit ever since. Starring Danny DeVitto, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson  follows the exploits of “The Gang,” a group of self-centered friends who run Paddy’s Pub, a relatively unsuccessful Irish Bar in South Philly. Season 8 will start filming soon and the execs at FX said that there will also be a season 9 after the success that they had with the show. The casting directors are now looking to male and female extras to play bar patrons. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is looking to break into the industry.

On the most basic level, the show is about a group of friends who run Paddy’s Pub in Philadelphia. But it’s much more than that. They take on social and political issues in their own crazy way, often to awkwardly disastrous results. Their warped antics and narcissistic points of view get them in trouble with rival bars, family members, other Philadelphians, gangs, drug lords, and the authorities.

The gang is composed of the egotistical Mac who never misses an opportunity to stop an injustice; the illiterate Charlie whose undying obsession with a local waitress never steers him right; the eternally vain Dennis who never misses an opportunity to bang; his sister Dee whose pursuit for fame and acceptance has yet to succeed, and their father Frank who, after getting divorced, decides to throw caution to the wind and live without inhibitions.

  3. I feel part of each one of the characters lives inside of me already. Sunny is not only my favorite show, it is a tool I use to spread laughter. It’s also a compatibility tester for personalities. ‘On Your Bike’ is my ringtone, and often floats through my head along with other Kiessling pieces; like my own theme music. I live Sunny. I even have a freestyle dance to ‘On My Bike.’ I’m from upstate NY, and had lived in the northeast most of my life. I finally figured out that I really want to act, because I feel I’m naturally good at it. A good part of my life has been an act. And I love comedy. So, I moved myself out to where it’s at: LA. I live in Long Beach and have nothing better to do all day than try to attain my goal of getting on Sunny. I’ve even thought of writing myself into an episode I create. I have no formal acting experience, but believe me, I know how to get in that mode. I’ve trained myself the past couple of years in an unnatural way to push my bodies’ limitations in various ways. One thing I know is how to turn on that ‘genie’ inside of me that makes everything I do great and people really enjoy me like that. Can’t share the details here, but you can guess. So, with my senses on full blast, I’ve learned to seek out the best things in life, which for me are Sunny and Phish. Phish tour out rythmn and dancing in my soul, and Sunny has taught me to be keenly see and enjoy the humor of life, while living on the fringe where I already was. So, I want to start getting on screen, but an episode of Sunny is truly my current life goal. Thanks for checking me out bitches.

  4. My name is Ben Rossman. I have have been introduced Always Sunny in Philadelphia by brother. At first I didn’t really like the show back in 2005. After another episode I had watched previously that week, I instantly fell in love. I am 16 turning 17 September 3. OMG life is basically acting so I’m used to speaking in crowds. I live in Shippensburg Pennsylvania, and recently back in march I had a guest speaker come to my school. His name was Terrell Carter. If you don’t know who he is, he is had done a movie with Kevin hart and is now shooting a foreign horror movie over in Jordan. He told me that I needed to show my god given talent to the world. I still have yet to see this talent of mine but life goal is to be on T.V. Ever since I was 4 I told my mother that I wanted to be on stage as an actor or a model. Anyway I got off topic like I always do, I am writing to you saying I would like a chance to be on your sitcom. I get emails everyday about me going to Washington, D.C. For interviews but I don’t trust them… An I got an invitation in the mail saying that I am invited to come to Los Angeles for job in acting. But to be honest I only want to be on a t.v. Show not a movie or commercial. And this is where I want to start my career at.

    I am very recently 19 years old (as of February 16th, 2013), I am fair/light skinned caucasian female, with very curly fair blonde hair (I would be willing to temporarily straighten or dye my hair, even permanently dye it depending on the color), I have medium-big sized blue eyes (medium hue), I am 5’6″, 160 lbs, and have an apple-type body shape.

    I have always love to perform and have an extensive performance resume, but most of all I perform musically. I have a youtube channel with only one song as of now.     Although I am very much into music, I have always loved to act and would consider it a major part of my career and life plan, and I am very good at it too, but unfortunately do not have as much experience performing as I would like to in that department. In a way, I think that makes my performances more raw, and in certain roles that can be a very good thing. I can bring an animal real-ness and emotional honesty that must be shown through someone who desperately wants something they know they have to work extremely hard to even get close to, and I desperately want this. I also have been told that I have great comedic timing. I would put my whole heart and soul into making people love my character, and if you choose me, I promise I will come at it with everything I have got.
