The play, “Gingerbread”, is based on a story of a dominant witch that makes a deal with a woman named Sandra Davis. The deal incorporates the trade of Sandra’s first-born child in exchange of control and possessions.

The story-line revolves around money, lust, love, and violence, and will keep the audience at the edge the entire time.

Casting Call Details

Alicia

She is Harriett’s student and has known her for a lifetime. Harriett is basically her second mother. She was a gifted and smart girl, but has never fought with the dark forces of the world in the past.

Sandra Davis

She is a middle-aged woman that created the entire empire of technologies all on her own. The technologies that she dealt with include defense, apps, and weapons system. She originally makes a deal with the witch in exchange of power and wealth, but realizes that she wants her child back, and will use all powers and resources she has for that purpose.

Audition and Rehearsal Details

The individuals who will be coming for the audition have to perform a one-minute modern monologue. The person will be asked to perform cold readings from the script. The email should incorporate headshot, and if possible, a reel.

The rehearsal of the play will start from 18^th July 2016 at Vineland First Methodist Church. The dates of rehearsal are not decided, but they will be on weeknights from 6 to 10 pm. The rehearsal will also take place on Saturdays.
