Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is along with his 7 bucks Production Company which he owns with partner Danny Garcia is set to begin production on the Paramount Pictures feature film, Baywatch. Production on Baywatch will begin in January of 2016 in the hot beaches of Miami Florida. Casting Directors for the feature film have begun seeking male and female lead roles.
For those of you who may not remember, Baywatch was an original TV series which ran for 12 years between 1989 and 2001. The series followed the lives of a group of lifeguards keeping watch over Malibu Beach in Los Angeles and managed to keep its shores safe from terrorists, kidnappers, serial killers, murders and corrupt criminals from all walks of life. The series which was known for featuring its hot lifeguards in tiny bikinis and slow motion running scenes starred David Hasselhoff, Carmen Electra, Jeremy Jackson, Pamela Anderson, and Yasmine Bleeth. It has yet to be confirmed if the original series cast will make cameo appearance on the Feature Film but old fans remain hopeful.
The Baywatch feature film will star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a straight-laced lifeguard who is forced to join forces with a young rule-breaking newcomer when the beach they both love comes under attack and faces definite destruction courtesy of avaricious attentions of a nefarious oil tycoon. Zac Efron has joined Baywatch to portray the young rule-breaking and quick-witted new lifeguard.
Casting Details
Zac Efron became famous through Disney Channel when he starred in their High School Musical original TV movies and has recently starred in films such as New Years Ever and Neighbors. He is currently filming Neighbors 2 and has recently wrapped filming on Dirty Grandpa starring opposite Robert De Niro. Johnson has recently starred in blockbuster film San Andreas and hit HBO TV series Ballers. He is currently filming Central Intelligence which will co-star Kevin Hart.
The casting team for the Paramount Pictures film ‘Baywatch’ is currently seeking several lead roles. The team is seeking three females between the ages of 18-29 to portray lifeguards and males between the ages of 20-30 who can portray someone who is ‘Funny yet awkward.’
Filming on Baywatch will take place in Miami, Florida and will begin in January of 2016. All talent which to be considered for any roles on Baywatch must be eligible to work in the Miami area.

hahahah yeeeessss! What a great reboot! And not to mention the great actors that are taking part. They are some of my greatest inspirations for acting. I just recently discovered that I have a passion for acting and decided that it is the career that I want to pursue. I have little acting experience, only a few productions back in high school and once in the local community arts center by my home, a part which i received much praise from everyone for doing but I am currently taking acting classes in college.
