Casting call and online auditions for lead, supporting, and extra roles for Disney’s High School Musical 4

About the High School Musical Franchise

In 2006, Disney introduced the teen world to its ‘High School Musical’ franchise. The original film which was then followed by 2 sequels revolved around the school and love life of high school students Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) a star athlete at East High, and the small town beauty with brains Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Anne Hudgens). The two along with their other co-stars made musicals seem ‘cool’ and inspired a generation to struggle to strike a balance between their dreams and obligations.

A decade later, Disney is reviving what proved to be one of its most successful brands. High School Musical 4 will be directed by Disney’s resident Jeffrey Hornaday of the Teen Beach Movie fame. The script is written in collaboration with Dan Berendsen who also wrote Hannah Montana: The Movie, and Peter Barsocchini of the High School Musical fame himself.

Casting Calls for High School Musical 4

Disney is looking for new talent to cast in the latest lease of one of their most successful franchise. Every time audition calls from Disney lure hundreds of hopeful kids to display their talent for a chance at Disney stardom. This year around too, casting directors Kendra Patterson and Natalie Hart are expecting to witness some exceptionally great talent turnover at the online auditions.

They are looking for teens that can act, sing, and dance well for:

  • Lead Roles
  • Supporting Roles
  • Extras

The details of the roles for the upcoming project have not been disclosed so far. However, Disney Worldwide President, Gary Marsh stated, “It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we’re excited to announce ‘the start of something new’ — as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the High School Musical franchise.”

Therefore it is safe to assume that the makers of the movie are looking for another fresh lot of the likes of Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale for the movie.
