The Disney Channel XD series Lab Rats is a new show that will center around Leo, a teenager who happens to find 3 “Superhumans” in the basement of his house that he currently lives in with his mother and stepfather, Tasha and Donald. The “Superhumans” each have their own unique skill, Adam, has strength, Bree, has the speed and Chase, is the one with super intelligence and also helped convince Leo let the three “Superhumans” come to school with him in hopes of living a normal life. The show is created by Chris Peterson, Bryan Moore and Mark Brazil.
This multi-camera production is a comedy series formerly known as “Billion Dollar Freshman,” and casting for extras will be ongoing throughout the production of season 1 of the show. The show has already announced lead roles who will be played by Billy Unger, Spencer Boldman & Kelli Berglund. Auditions will be taking place in California and the casting director is open to submissions from kids, adults and all ethnic backgrounds. Taking submissions nationwide. Talent should submit all of their correct contact information in their submission to the castings department. All talent will not have the chance to audition as it depends on the characters left to audition for in the script. All talent will have a chance to have their picture and resume looked over by the castings department. Lead roles will be announced via e-mail after auditions. I’ve been watching Lab Rats since the very beginning, and have watched almost every single episode up to date. I understand the humor and the connotations behind the series, and love it even when others find it cheesy or ‘for little kids’. Its a show for all ages, and my love for it is proof of that. I am very excited for ‘Bionic Island’ and the new characters, enemies and powers it will introduce. I’ve been acting since I was a child- not professionally- but I at least have a taste for it. I was in gymnastics for years before I entered high school, and I am still flexible enough to pull of a bionic super human, if you would consider me. I enjoy acting- and more importantly, I’m good at it, despite not having acted off a school stage. I purposefully chose not to partake in professional acting until I was sure I would excel at it, and now, I believe, with Lab Rats season 4 coming along, this would be the perfect time for me to widen my range of skills. A fresh face is exactly what this new season needs, and even if I’m not chosen to be in it, I’m glad to see that Disney is willing to look outside their circle of celebrities for new actors and actresses. Hey my name is Michaela Pendergrass, I’ve always wanted to be a part of the lab rats cast ever since I started watching it! I am very determined and focused when it comes to my acting. I work very well with other people. I’m also in a summer play of Peter Pan and I got the role of Tiger Lily. I’ve picked up the dance very quick and learned the song with in 2 days. Even though that isn’t the kind of music I like to sing it is still fun. I write my own songs to! I do pop songs and rock songs, my sister helps me with some of them and we sing them together when she plays guitar. Once I was at a karaoke station for a small fair and I used up my last dollar, when I started to walk away a man ran up to me and said he would give me a dollar to sing one more song, so I did! That guy gave me a large confidence boost because he was a complete stranger but he loved my singing talent. I also pick up on scripts very quickly. Acting and singing are the center of my life and I’m so happy my family and friends have interdicted it to me! Just thinking about being on Lab Rats gives me that tingly feeling like when you pass your crush in school, that feeling. I’m just so excited to see what happens! All the time I always thought of what it would be like to be in a movie. I thought for a while, then realized that some great actors started in the Disney franchise. I started naming some of the Disney shows I would’ve liked to have been in if given the chance. Lots of the series on Disney channel/XD were on my list. But in the top five, was lab rats. Lab rats has enough action, without taking over the humor. It is funny and makes me and my family laugh. And the best part is is that this show has a great combination of different genres in it. I am a 14 year old boy located in St. Petersburg, Florida. I am just under 6 foot and I am a great athlete. I have blonde hair and have a thing for flatbill hats and black clothing . My family and friends tell me that some of things that I say are funny and I never even noticed it. Every once in awhile our family will feel extremely down(not saying that others don’t) I am always there to try lighten the mood. We were watching Rise of The Guardians the other day and one thing that kept going through the story was “what is your center” naturally I would have said althetisism being 150 lbs and 5’9, but after a while, the characteristic that I found, was joy. I never really realized what I brought to my family and to others. People would say that I set the tone for the classroom. The way I feel is the way the rest of group feels. The bottom line to my submission is that acting is my passion and it’s what I love to do. I’m incredibly motivated and determined. I’ve been to two auditions, one of which I was given a callback to go to a week long event in Florida to meet with talent scouts and producers. Only 1500 kids and teens are selected from across the country. My interviewer told me it was because I was impressive and extremely driven.
