“Get Shorty” Casting on the West Coast

Casting directors need extras to work on the new TV series called, Get Shorty starring Ray Romano. They need guys with dark hair and light complexion for camera testing and stand-in work throughout the TV series.

About

Get Shorty is a new show that will premier on EPIX in 2018.  It is about a former Nevada criminal that decides to leave that life behind and produce movies in Hollywood.  He aims to produce movies that tell about his life as a criminal, but finds it difficult when past enemies come to Los Angeles to stop him.  Romano plays the main character’s best friend.  The TV show is actually loosely based on the 1995 thriller/comedy called Get Shorty.  The film starred John Travolta as a Miami mobster on his way to collect a significant debt from a client.

Extras Needed for the Following Roles:

Doctor: This is a featured role, and the casting team needs a male around the ages of 30 – 45 to play a doctor.  This role will have featured lines in two vital scenes.

Nurses: These are featured and extra roles.  The featured nurse will be seen helping the doctor and issuing medication to a patient.  They will have a small number of lines.  The extra nurses will not have lines.

Drug Dealers: This is an extra role for anyone looking to gain some experience in a featured TV show.

Police Officers: Featured role with no speaking lines just actions.

This is a great opportunity to work with Ray Romano and producers on an Epix show.  You will meet several people that have been around the movie industry for a while.  As a stand-in, your role is pretty vital to production, so make sure you follow directions.
